What is the SME Climate hub’s Race to zero?

The SME Climate Hub is a non-profit global initiative that empowers small to medium sized companies to take climate action and build resilient businesses for the future.

Why we have Joined the SME Climate Hub and the Race to Zero? 

REA took Climate Hub’s Race to Zero pledge in 2022 and has maintained it’s commitment to report annually. As a trade association working in the renewable Energy and clean technology space, and in line with our mission to decarbonise the economy and help our members build commercially and environmentally sustainable businesses, this commitment is extremely important to us and we excited to be part of a global network of small and medium sized businesses to contribute to collective action on climate change.

The SME Climate Hub Commitment

Recognising that climate change poses a threat to the economy, nature, and society at large, our company commits to act immediately to:

• Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030

• Achieve net zero emissions before 2050

• Disclose our progress on a yearly basis

In doing so, we are proud to be recognised by the UN Climate Change High Level Champion’s Race to Zero campaign, and join governments, businesses, cities, regions, and universities around the world that share the same mission.
