• REA releases a shortlist of finalists for the British Renewable Energy Awards.
  • Individuals and companies from 12 categories have been selected to celebrate at the 20th edition of this landmark event.
  • This year’s Awards will take place back in London this year, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in the heart of Mayfair on Thursday, 12th

The REA (Renewable Energy Association) has announced the full list of finalists for the 2025 British Renewable Energy Awards (BREAs). This year marks the landmark 20th edition since the Awards began in 2006.

Celebrating those leading the shift towards a greener, more secure energy future – the BREAs have become a highlight in the renewable energy calendar. The finalists, or ‘Game Changers’ as the REA calls them, represent the individuals and organisations whose work is powering the UK’s transition towards net zero. Judges for the Awards include Nina Harrison-Bell, Head of ITN News, Chris O’Shea, Centrica CEO, Claire Dykta, Director of Strategy and Policy at NESO and many more. Renewables Minister Michael Shanks MP will also be saying a few words.

With just one month to go, the REA is excited to announce this year’s finalists across all 15 categories.

The 2025 Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner will take place on 12 June at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane, in the heart of Mayfair.

Trevor Hutchings, Chief Executive of the REA (Renewable Energy Association) said:

“As we celebrate the 20th edition of the British Renewable Energy Awards – we’re proud to recognise the people and projects transforming the future of energy. This year’s finalists showcase remarkable talent and determination. Reading through the nominations was truly inspirational.

Every nomination reflects a powerful story of innovation and impact, and it’s a privilege to honour their contribution to a greener future. I extend my warmest congratulations to everyone who has been shortlisted.”
